Snakes on a plane? I don't think so...

Well... I've taken some images of some WEIRD stuff before but never snakes.

People who know me will testify there are two things that will make me scream like a little girl.

1. Spiders... It doesn't matter the size. As far as I am concerned, ALL those 8-legged creepy crawly, nasty, hairy, Venomous, icky things need to die. Every last one of them.
I am creeping my self out just WRITING about em!!!
Yes. Flies apply to this rule.

2. Snakes... My "old" motto is the only good snake is a DEAD snake.
Well...
When Sam first came to me with the idea, I was SOOOOOOoooo creeped out I wanted to fall on the ground and start convulsing.
My skin started to crawl off my body! EWWWWWwww!! Photograph snakes?!?! Dude, are you flippin NUTS?!?!
I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!!!

But Sam is the type of guy who will grow on ya... like some type of fungus... ;-)

Honestly I've liked Sam from the first time I met him, He's a like-able guy who has nerves of steel.
I mean... You kinda have to have those kinda nerves when there is something in your house that can eat you.

Anyway here are some of the shots we took...

This is Sam... No he doesn't have Green eggs and Ham. He has a 17.5 foot Python...
Don't break in his house...
I like his shirt! It read, "I'm like a super hero without the powers or the motivation"

My dealing with there guys taught me a few lessons.
1. Respect those who keep these type of pets.
2. Respect the snakes. Before playing with them KNOW WHAT THEY ARE AND THE DANGERS THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THEM!!
Each Snake I photographed has a different personalities Some were bashful, some were feisty, Some were constantly pissed off... If you don't know the Snakes personalitty, stay way, or listen to a trained professional Snake handler Like Sam and his wife Theresa.
I know this.
Then next time I have a run in with a Snake in my yard of on the farm, They run a much higher chance of surviving the encounter now than they did a few weeks ago. Me too.

*grin*

Until next time!!
